We are looking for a FluxCD - OpenShift Consultant:

Responsibilities

For a project, we are looking for an experienced Senior FluxCD / OpenShift Consultant, Architect or Engineer to

support the consulting and implementation of a GitOps-based application deployment approach.

Senior Consultant, Architect or Engineer with a strong hands-on focus on FluxCD in the application deployment environment and experience in the secure operation

of GitOps platforms in enterprise environments.

Important: General Kubernetes, OpenShift or DevOps experience alone is not sufficient. The candidate should have already used FluxCD intensively in

productive environments and implemented corresponding deployment architectures themselves.

• Consulting and implementation of FluxCD on Red Hat OpenShift
• Design of a production-ready GitOps and application deployment approach
• Setup and configuration of Flux components such as GitRepository, OCIRepository, Kustomization, HelmRelease and Image Automation
• Implementation of application deployments with Helm and Kustomize
• Definition of suitable GitOps repository, environment and promotion structures
• Conception of RBAC, multi-tenancy and secret management
• Integration of Flux into existing CI/CD and container registry processes
• Troubleshooting of Flux reconciliation, Helm and deployment issues
• Documentation and knowledge transfer to the involved teams

Requirements

• Very in-depth practical experience with FluxCD / Flux 2
• Demonstrable experience with productive Flux-based application deployments
• Very good knowledge of Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift
• Very good practical experience with Flux Kustomization, HelmRelease, Helm, Kustomize and GitOps
• Experience with OpenShift-specific topics such as RBAC, Service Accounts and Security Context Constraints (SCC)
• Experience with the secure operation of GitOps platforms in enterprise environments
• Experience with multi-environment and multi-tenant GitOps architectures
• Confident troubleshooting of complex Flux reconciliation processes
• Language: German

• Argo CD / OpenShift GitOps
• SOPS, Vault/OpenBao or comparable secret management
• GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or Tekton
• OCI-based GitOps deployments
• Prometheus / Grafana
• Terraform / OpenTofu
