Seeking a Forensics and Incident Response Expert for a 12-month remote project starting in November, focused on building and developing security incident management processes.

For our client project, I am currently looking for a Forensics and Incident Response Expert in the public sector (30720).

Responsibilities
Setup and further development of Security Incident Management, including incident response, reporting, and escalation processes. Conception and introduction of procedures for the detection, analysis, treatment, and follow-up of security incidents, as well as for digital forensics. Support of a pilot and development of a rollout concept for regular operation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in setting up Incident Response or CSIRT processes
- Experience in managing and handling real security incidents
- Knowledge in digital forensics, evidence preservation, and incident handling
- Experience with security monitoring, SIEM, or incident response tools
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting obligations (e.g., NIS2, BSIG, GDPR)
- Fluent German and willingness to undergo a security check (SÜ2)
Nice to have
- Experience with MITRE ATT&CK, Elastic Security, Graylog, Sigma, and Velociraptor
