FPGA Developer needed for a 5-month contract project. The role involves designing and implementing FPGA functionalities, creating VHDL modules, and developing automated testing processes.

Responsibilities
- Conception and implementation of specified requirements into FPGA functionalities
- Creation and adaptation of VHDL modules as well as integration into existing FPGA designs
- Documentation of concepts and design decisions
- Development and documentation of test concepts and test sequences
- Setup and automation of VHDL simulation tests with QuestaSim/ModelSim
- Expansion of test coverage with the goal of the highest possible coverage
- Execution of automated integration tests on real hardware using Python test framework
- If necessary, extension of the existing test framework and test functions on the test FPGA
Requirements
My advantages:
- Sound experience in FPGA development on Altera platforms
- Very good knowledge of VHDL
- Experience with Quartus
- Good knowledge of QuestaSim/ModelSim, especially in simulation and coverage analysis
- Experience with Python 3 and Bash Scripting for automating synthesis and simulation processes
- Knowledge in creating automated simulation tests with VUnit
- Experience in technical documentation, ideally with Polarion
