For our client, we are looking for an experienced Freelance AI Chatbot Developer to conceptualize and implement an AI-powered chatbot solution.

The goal of the project is to automate customer inquiries and relieve internal employees through intelligent self-service processes. The chatbot should independently handle customer concerns, provide information, and efficiently support existing workflows.

We are looking for a freelancer who has successfully implemented comparable solutions and can support the introduction from conception to productive use.

Responsibilities

• Conception and development of an AI-based chatbot solution
• Analysis of existing customer processes and identification of automation potentials
• Development of intelligent dialogue and response logic
• Integration into existing communication channels (e.g., messaging apps, web portals, or customer platforms)
• Connection of relevant interfaces and data sources
• Optimization of response quality and user experience
• Technical consulting regarding architecture, scalability, and best practices
• Support of testing, introduction, and go-live

Requirements

• Several years of experience as an AI Developer, Conversational AI Developer, Chatbot Developer, or AI Engineer
• Demonstrable project experience in the development and introduction of productive AI-powered chatbots
• Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and NLP technologies
• Experience with API integrations and backend connections
• Very good knowledge of Python and/or TypeScript / Node.js
• Ability to independently translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience in developing customer-oriented conversational AI solutions
• German and English

Nice to have

• Experience with WhatsApp Business API or comparable messaging platforms
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or comparable AI platforms
• Knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, or Semantic Kernel
• Experience with RAG architectures and vector databases
• Experience in the customer service or customer support environment
