Freelance Commissioning Manager – OCGT / CCGT Power Plant

Project overview

For the new construction of a gas turbine power plant, we are looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to coordinate the commissioning activities from the client's perspective.

The role includes coordinating the OEM commissioning with the mechanical, electrical, and control engineering plant areas, as well as preparing for commercial plant operation.

Responsibilities

Development and control of the integrated commissioning plan

Coordination of pre-commissioning, cold and hot commissioning

Coordination with gas turbine OEM, BoP suppliers, and construction management

Monitoring of system completion, punch lists, and handover documentation

Coordination of first fire, synchronization, and performance tests

Control of interfaces with DCS, electrical, and mechanical commissioning

Ensuring commissioning readiness and handover to operations

Requirements

At least two different gas or CCGT power plant new builds with personal commissioning responsibility

Demonstrable experience in commissioning large gas turbine plants

Experience with first fire, start-up, synchronization, and performance testing

Experience with F-class gas turbines preferred

Ability to lead multidisciplinary commissioning teams

Very good English skills and international construction site experience
