International EdTech startup seeks a hands-on CTO/CPTO to lead product and technology vision, focusing on becoming an AI-native company. The role involves defining the roadmap, writing code, implementing AI tools, and managing the tech team.
Project overview
Our client is an international EdTech startup with impact.
They are currently looking for the product & tech leader to join their executive committee. This is not a manager who delegates: it is a profile who sets the vision and opens their own pull requests.
The ambition is high: to become an AI-native company, where a small team delivers quickly and well thanks to AI agents, in technology as well as in the rest of the company.
Your missions
- Product vision & roadmap: translate customer needs and business objectives into a clear product and tech roadmap, and decide what to build next.
- Hands-on engineering: write and review code on the Ruby on Rails platform, integrations, and customer features, and make key architectural decisions.
- AI-native: define and deploy the use of AI tools and agents in development, then carry AI-first methods throughout the company.
- Delivery: manage schedules and releases at a sustained pace, prioritize and sort requests.
- Team: work in tandem with the existing developer, mobilize freelancers or partners if needed, and structure the growth of the tech team.
- Leadership: co-build priorities with the CEO and COO, represent the platform to clients and partners, and oversee InfoSec, DevOps, and compliance.
