Freelance Engineering Manager – Gas Turbine Power Plant / OCGT

Project overview

For a new gas turbine power plant construction project, we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager (m/f/d) to take over the overall technical coordination on the client's side.

The focus is on the integration of the gas turbine package, the coordination of all engineering disciplines, and the technical control of interfaces between the OEM, Balance-of-Plant suppliers, and executing companies.

Responsibilities

Leadership and coordination of multidisciplinary power plant engineering

Control of Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, Civil, and Balance of Plant

Review and approval coordination of technical specifications, drawings, and engineering documentation

Management of technical interfaces with the gas turbine OEM

Coordination of design reviews, technical clarifications, and engineering changes

Ensuring technical feasibility and supporting site organization

Support during Mechanical Completion and handover to Commissioning

Requirements

At least two different gas or combined cycle power plant new builds with personal engineering responsibility

Experience during engineering and construction execution, not exclusively FEED or feasibility studies

Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams

Very good knowledge of gas turbines, generators, and Balance-of-Plant systems

Experience with F-Class gas turbines from Siemens, GE, or Mitsubishi preferred

Experience on the client or OEM side is an advantage

Fluent English
