Freelance Interim AI Engineer

Project overview

As an AI Engineer, you will contribute to the further development of the AI Permits project, with the aim of a production-ready and reliable platform:

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Further develop and align GenAI solutions within Microsoft Azure
• Build and design production-ready AI workflows
• Apply prompt engineering techniques for reliable outcomes
• Extract and process data from permit documents
• Increase the reliability, precision, and repeatability of AI results
• Build data pipelines in Databricks for transforming and enriching permit data
• Prepare and unlock extensive document datasets within Databricks for AI and LLM applications
• Realize scalable backend components in Python
• Set up and manage CI/CD processes
• Align with functional experts and colleagues within the organization
• Share knowledge and guide colleagues on the possibilities of AI
• Advise on Azure architecture, security, and management
• At least 4 years of experience in Data Engineering or comparable data-related software development
• At least 2 years of experience with Generative AI / LLM solutions
• Bachelor's or Master's work and thinking level in a science/technical profile
• Thorough knowledge of Python, including software design patterns and coding standards
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions and Azure AI Foundry
• Experience with prompt engineering
• Knowledge of and experience with CI/CD processes, GitHub Actions, and Terraform
• Practical experience with Data Engineering within Databricks
