Project overview

For a leading high-tech company, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Lead (m/f/d) to support a complex construction project. In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical trades (HVAC) and ensure that the high requirements for reliability and energy efficiency are significantly implemented in planning and execution. You will act as a central interface between project management, specialist planners, and the executing trades on site.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitoring of mechanical trades (HVAC) across all project phases
• Ensuring technical compliance and adherence to project-specific standards for critical infrastructures
• Responsible for coordination with the electrical, construction, and commissioning teams to avoid collisions and ensure system integrity
• Review of execution plans, schematics, and technical calculations
• Ensuring timely and qualitative execution on the construction site and carrying out technical acceptances
• Technical evaluation of change orders and support in reviewing supplementary claims in the mechanical sector

• Completed degree in building services engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in technical building equipment (HVAC), ideally in complex industrial projects
• Knowledge of cooling technologies is an advantage
• Confident use of relevant standards (DIN, VDI, EN) and ideally knowledge of certification standards
• Experience in managing executing trades and in dealing with construction site processes
• Hands-on mentality, strong assertiveness, and decision-making ability
• Confident use of standard MS Office applications
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken (English as project language)
