Freelance Remote Spanish Translator w/ Production Design

Project overview

Our advocacy client in Washington, DC is looking for a Spanish Translator w/ Production Design skills to support with a 10-12 week project for about 20-25 hours/week starting by mid November! As the Spanish Translator w/ Production Design, you will be supporting with the localization of a 330+ page publication from English to Spanish. The Spanish Translator w/ Production Design will focus on implementing translated content, adjusting layouts to accommodate longer Spanish text, and preparing final print and digital deliverables.

Responsibilities

• replace English copy with Spanish content throughout the publication
• adjust layouts, pagination, and text flow to accommodate Spanish text expansion
• update the Table of Contents and create a Spanish language index
• edit charts, graphics, and visual elements with Spanish content
• source and replace 5-10 stock photos featuring Latin representation (Getty access provided)
• prepare final files for both print and digital distribution Requirements:
• professional proficiency in Spanish and English
• strong production design experience with long form documents
• advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• experience with print production, pagination, and layout adjustments
