For a long-term project at a company in the technical services and infrastructure sector, we are looking for an experienced freelancer (m/f/d) to support digital invoice processes and SAP-based financial accounting.

The focus is on supporting and further developing existing billing processes, ensuring high data quality, and optimizing and automating commercial workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support and optimization of digital invoice and billing processes
• Processing and checking commercial business transactions in the SAP environment
• Ensuring correct processing of electronic incoming and outgoing invoices
• Monitoring existing automated workflows and performing quality checks
• Analysis and clarification of process deviations, error messages, and interface problems
• Coordination with internal departments, IT teams, and external service providers
• Creation of analyses and reports on process and data quality
• Support in the further development and automation of existing financial processes

• Several years of experience in financial accounting, invoice management, or SAP Finance
• Profound knowledge of SAP FI, ideally in the S/4HANA environment
• Experience with electronic invoice processes and e-invoicing
• Knowledge of common e-invoice formats such as XRechnung and ZUGFeRD
• Understanding of accounting processes as well as tax and legal requirements
• Experience with SAP RE-FX or real estate-related billing processes is an advantage
• Knowledge of SAP SD, MM, or SAP DRC is desirable
• Experience in error analysis, process optimization, and automation
• Independent, structured way of working and strong analytical skills
• Very good German skills and good English skills
