Freelance Senior Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter – HGB / SAP S/4HANA

Project overview

Hello,

For a client project, we are looking for an experienced freelance Senior Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter with sound HGB knowledge and experience with SAP S/4HANA, starting immediately.

Responsibilities

Expert advice on monthly and quarterly closings as well as annual financial statements according to local GAAP (HGB)

Expert advice in ongoing bookkeeping, especially general ledger, sub-ledger, and fixed asset accounting

Independent analysis of cash forecasts and accounts receivable management

Expert advice and review of customer invoices and booking processes

Independent determination of provisions and correction requirements

Review and plausibility check of bookings in the balance sheet and profit and loss statement

Independent assessment of intra-community VAT transactions and their correct settlement

Identification of discrepancies and derivation of necessary corrective measures

Execution or review of relevant booking processes in SAP S/4HANA

Close coordination with relevant contacts in finance and accounting

Requirements

Several years of professional experience in accounting, for example as a Senior Accountant, Bilanzbuchhalter or in a comparable position

Very good knowledge of accounting according to HGB

Sound experience with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Experience in general ledger, sub-ledger, and fixed asset accounting

Good knowledge of provisions, accruals, and closing corrections

Experience in cash forecasting and accounts receivable management

Good VAT knowledge, especially for intra-community transactions

Proficient handling of SAP S/4HANA in the finance/accounting environment

Sound understanding of balance sheets and profit and loss statements

Independent, structured, and analytical way of working
