Seeking a freelance Senior Accounting & Tax Consultant for a 6-month project starting immediately, primarily on-site in the Rhein Neckar region. The role involves supporting financial statement preparation, IFRS consolidation, tax compliance, and M&A transactions.

Currently, I am looking for a freelance Senior Accounting & Tax Consultant for my client:
Responsibilities
Must-Haves:
- Project-based support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to IFRS and local accounting standards
- Participation in IFRS group consolidation within an international corporate structure
- Support in the context of six closing audits for FY26 in cooperation with auditing firms
- Project-related work on tax compliance issues, particularly income taxes, VAT, transfer pricing, and tax audits
- Support in coordinating with external tax advisors and auditors
- Participation in the harmonization and documentation of accounting policies at group level
- Project-based support in the environment of M&A transactions and post-merger integrations
- Assistance in analyzing and optimizing accounting processes and internal control structures
- Participation in addressing issues within international multi-entity structures
- Several years of experience in a responsible accounting function, ideally in an international scale-up environment
- Profound IFRS expertise, especially in group financial statements and consolidation
- Experience with international multi-entity structures
- Demonstrable experience in the accounting and tax environment
- Experience with international closing audits
- Fluent English skills
