As part of a strategic SAP EWM implementation at a renowned manufacturing company, an experienced Senior IT Project Manager is sought to take over ongoing project leadership. The international project is currently in the phase between training activities and the transition to the testing phase, with a planned go-live for March 2027.
The stakeholder constellation requires diplomatic and resilient project leadership with strong communication skills at management level. Technical IT expertise is available internally. The primary need is for methodologically strong project leadership for strategic coordination and control.
Responsibilities
- Take over and continue the existing IT project management of an SAP EWM implementation
- Control project progress, deadlines, and critical project activities towards go-live
- Strategic stakeholder management between IT, Business, Location, and Management
- Risk assessment, definition and tracking of countermeasures, as well as budget controlling
- Confident communication with the steering committee and diplomatic handling of conflicts
- Coordination of internal subject matter experts and project participants (10-20 people)
Requirements
- Proven seniority as an IT Project Manager with sound project management skills
- Demonstrable expertise in project planning, stakeholder management, and project controlling
- Convincing presence with demanding stakeholders and high resilience
- SAP project experience, ideally in the EWM or logistics environment
- Confident communication in German and English project languages
- IPMA or PMI certification, as well as experience in classic project organizations, are advantageous
