For our client, a leading company, I am looking for an experienced Site Manager for Steel Construction (m/f/d) as soon as possible. In this role, you will be responsible for the proper implementation and assembly of heavy steel structures within a highly complex plant engineering project. You will work in particular with columns, beams, platforms, and bridge and pipe bridge structures, and together with the involved teams, you will ensure the safe, high-quality, and timely execution of steel construction work on-site, acting as a key interface for the successful progress of the project.

Responsibilities

• Control and coordination of work in heavy steel construction (load-bearing structures, columns, beams, platforms, bridge and pipe bridge structures)
• Coordination and alignment of assembly crews, subcontractors, and adjacent trades on the construction site
• Monitoring of proper, timely execution and continuous control of assembly progress in large-scale plant construction
• Control of proper execution and assembly progress
• Identification and resolution of technical challenges directly on the construction site
• Compliance with quality, safety, and occupational health regulations
• Close cooperation with site management and project team

• Several years of professional experience in steel construction, ideally in heavy steel construction
• Sound practical experience with columns, beams, platforms, and complex steel structures
• Experience in bridge construction or pipe bridge structures is an advantage
• Experience in industrial plant engineering or large-scale plant construction (steel industry, petrochemicals, or power plant construction)
• Knowledge of the steel industry, petrochemicals, or power plant construction is mandatory
• Confident handling of technical drawings and assembly documents
• Experience on industrial construction sites and in dealing with various project stakeholders
