Freelance Supplier Quality Engineer – Automotive / VDA 6.3

Project overview

For a long-term project with an internationally active company in the filtration and automotive sector, we are currently looking for 7 freelance Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE).

The focus of the activity lies in the direct support and development of suppliers on-site. Experienced Supplier Quality Engineers are sought who can work independently, analyze quality problems directly at the supplier's premises, and implement sustainable solutions together with the involved parties.

Responsibilities

Regular on-site assignments at suppliers, usually several times a week

Independent support of suppliers within the scope of Supplier Quality Management

Analysis of existing quality problems and deviations directly at the supplier

Identification of root causes and support of suitable corrective and improvement measures

Conducting or supporting supplier audits

Evaluation and further development of suppliers regarding quality, processes, and production standards

Monitoring and follow-up of agreed-upon measures

Collaboration with suppliers, production, quality, and other relevant departments

Structured documentation and reporting of results

Requirements

Several years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Manager, or in a comparable role

Very good knowledge of VDA 6.3

Experience in quality management and supplier development

Ideally, sound experience in the automotive or automotive supplier environment

Technical understanding of production, manufacturing, and quality processes

Experience in systematic root cause analysis and problem-solving

Ability to assess quality problems independently on-site and derive measures

Very independent and self-responsible way of working

Confident demeanor in dealing with suppliers and various contact persons

Fluent German and English

Very high willingness to travel and mobility

Knowledge from the areas of filtration, plastics technology, metal processing, industrial manufacturing, or comparable automotive components are an advantage.
