Job description
The Data School is seeking freelance tutors for their AI Automations & Agents programs to support learners on-demand in 1:1 or small group sessions. The role offers completely flexible scheduling and is 100% remote.
Project overview
Description
The Data School at MSIT trains career changers to become Data Analysts, Data Engineers, ML & AI Engineers, and AI Automation Specialists. For our AI Automations & Agents (AI A&A) programs, we are looking for freelance tutors to support our learners on demand in 1:1 or small group sessions.
How it works: Your schedule is completely flexible. You enter the time slots when you are available into your calendar, and learners book sessions with you as needed. No fixed shifts, no minimum hours.

How to apply
Send us a short message and tell us a bit about your experience with the topics mentioned above and with mentoring/tutoring.
- Conduct 1:1 or group tutoring sessions via Zoom (no preparation needed – you address the questions learners bring)
- Support with exercises, building workflows/agents, and conceptual questions from our AI A&A courses
- Recognize when someone is truly stuck and escalate the topic to the right place
- Occasional feedback on submitted projects
- In-depth knowledge in most of the following areas – you don't have to be an expert in everything, but should be able to cover most of it and be willing to independently learn the remaining topics:
- Automation & Prompting: n8n (core platform), Airtable/Sheets/Forms, Prompt Engineering, Structured Outputs, Tool Use / Function Calling
- Building Agents: Memory (short/long-term), RAG, Single vs. Multi-Agent Architectures, Visual Builders (Flowise/Langflow)
- Microsoft Stack: Copilot Studio, including Enterprise Deployment (Teams/SharePoint)
- Deploying & Operating Agents: Guardrails, Fallback Logic, Evaluation & Monitoring, API Cost Management
- Advanced Systems: MCP & A2A Protocols, Orchestration Patterns, AI-Assisted Coding (Cursor, Copilot), LangChain / LangGraph
- Governance: EU AI Act and Data Protection (basic knowledge)
- Fluent German (required); English is a plus
- Experience explaining technical content to learners without a technical background
- Structured thinking: You recognize where someone is truly stuck, rather than just fixing the error message
- Freelance contract, €30/hour
- Completely flexible schedule: You decide when you are available, learners book you as needed
- 100% remote
- Access to all our course materials
- Direct contact with our Academic Team
- Further exciting opportunities: If you desire more predictable hours, we also have fixed weekly formats you can take on in addition to on-demand tutoring, e.g., Office Hours, "What’s up in AI" talks, and similar sessions with our learners
- Development opportunities: If you enjoy it, you can also get a taste of the Instructor role
