Senior UI Designer (Web & Interaction) | Freelance | £400/day

London (Liverpool Street/Bank), Hybrid 3 months Start 9th November

A leading growth marketing agency needs a Senior UI Designer to design a brand new website, top to tail, for a big fintech brand. The site will be entered for awards like the Webbys and Awwwards, so the bar is high: beautiful UI, smooth interaction and real attention to detail.

It's a 3-month freelance contract, outside IR35, starting Monday 9th November, working in the office near Liverpool Street 3-4 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Design a brand new fintech website end to end, from first concepts to final, polished UI
• Create web interactions, motion and micro-interactions that feel premium and work smoothly
• Build a clear, flexible design system and components for the site
• Work closely with strategy, creative and development teams to make sure the build matches the designs
• Present and talk through your work with senior stakeholders
• Move fast, make decisions and keep quality high to tight deadlines

*Rates depend on experience and client requirements

• Senior-level UI design experience, with a strong focus on websites and web interaction
• Award-winning or award-shortlisted work (Webby, Awwwards, FWA, CSS Design Awards or similar) you can show
• A portfolio with standout visual design, typography and interaction detail
• Expert in Figma, plus prototyping and motion tools (for example ProtoPie, Principle, After Effects, Framer or Webflow)
• Confidence working with developers on interaction and animation
• Fintech, financial services or digital brand experience is a bonus
• £400 per day
• Start: Monday 9th November
• 3 months
• Outside IR35 (no Sole Traders)
• Hybrid: 3-4 days a week in the office (Tuesday to Thursday or Friday), 1 day remote. Office days are mandatory, so fully remote won't work.
