Freelance WordPress / Bricks Developer – Ongoing Collaboration

I’m an independent strategy and website consultant looking for an experienced, reliable technical partner for ongoing client projects. I handle strategy, design and client communication; you take ownership of technical implementation and maintenance.

I’m looking for a consistent individual freelancer who works carefully, checks their own work and explains technical issues clearly. Strong WordPress and Bricks experience is essential; Avada experience is important for existing sites.

Communication should be possible in English or German via email or messenger, open for occasional Zoom calls, if necessary.

Provide an estimate before additional work, flag potential overruns early and briefly document changes.

Please include in your proposal

I would prefer to start on an hourly basis, paying for time spent, with estimates agreed in advance. Once we have a clearer picture of the ongoing workload, we could consider a monthly retainer. I’m open to discussing an arrangement that works well for both of us.

Note: The project budget below is an indicative monthly budget for routine maintenance only. We would initially work on an hourly basis, with additional tasks estimated and agreed separately.

Job facts: Direct client project

• Independently maintain WordPress websites, mainly built with Bricks and Avada: check backups, perform updates, review key pages and functionality. Provide a brief monthly report.
• Troubleshoot critical errors, restore websites and handle security incidents—or coordinate specialist support where needed.
• Implement CSS, HTML, JavaScript and occasional PHP changes; assist with website builds and launches.
• Convert AI-generated designs and code from Codex or similar tools into clean, editable Bricks websites, using Bricks’ native HTML/CSS conversion and AI tools where appropriate. Refine layouts, responsive behaviour and functionality before launch according to briefs.
• Handle hosting configuration, PHP versions, databases, DNS, SSL and migrations.
• Build or deploy static websites when suitable.
• Your hourly rate and availability for an ongoing collaboration.
• An indicative monthly maintenance quote and estimated time required for 9 multi-page websites, 1 small WooCommerce shop and 3 one-page websites, covering the maintenance tasks described above. My current routine takes approximately 1–1.5 hours per month in total; please provide your own estimate based on the full scope. More websites will be added over time.
• Two relevant examples of your own work, outlining your contribution and experience with Bricks, Avada and AI-to-Bricks workflows.
• Your experience with troubleshooting, website repairs, hacked websites and security incidents. Please clarify which tasks you handle yourself and which require specialist support.
• Your usual response times during business hours, availability for urgent issues and preferred communication channels, including voice messages and occasional Zoom calls.
• Any areas of the scope you do not cover.
