Project overview

For the graphic further development of several established trade magazines, we are looking for an experienced freelancer in the field of editorial design, print design, and magazine layout.

The goal is to further develop the existing brand profile and sustainably strengthen the perception of the magazines through contemporary design, high-quality layouts, and attractive cover concepts.

We are looking for a creative personality who actively contributes impulses for the visual future of the magazines.

Responsibilities

• Development of a modern graphic concept for existing trade magazines
• Conception and design of magazine covers
• Further development of existing layout and design guidelines
• Creation of magazine layouts for print and possibly digital editions
• Design of infographics, image concepts, and editorial elements
• Close collaboration with editorial and publishing management
• Contribution of own creative ideas and design impulses

• Several years of experience in editorial design, magazine, or publishing design
• Very good knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Demonstrable references in magazine layout, print design, or editorial design
• Good sense for typography, imagery, and modern design
• Independent, creative, and structured way of working
• German language skills at a professional level
• Knowledge in the area of print production and prepress
• Experience with trade magazines, B2B publications, or publishing projects
• Experience in developing design relaunches
