Freelance Group Accountant – IFRS / Consolidation / SAP S/4HANA

Project overview

For an ongoing project in group accounting, we are looking for an experienced freelance Group Accountant.

The focus is on operational support for month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, as well as the consolidation of multiple companies. Additionally, the existing finance team is to be supported in optimizing and harmonizing accounting and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Support with month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing
• Participation in group consolidation
• Creation and review of consolidation bookings
• Execution of intercompany reconciliations
• Preparation of reporting packages for the group financial statements
• Transfer and reconciliation of individual financial statements
• Handling of HGB and IFRS issues
• Collaboration with auditors and local finance teams
• Optimization of existing accounting and closing processes
• Support in the SAP S/4HANA environment

Requirements

• Several years of experience in Group Accounting
• Very good knowledge of HGB and IFRS
• Sound experience in consolidation
• Experience with month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing
• Very good knowledge of intercompany
• Practical experience with SAP, ideally SAP S/4HANA
• Experience with complex multi-company or group structures
• Very good German language skills

Nice to have

• Experience with LucaNet, SAP Group Reporting, or comparable consolidation tools
• Experience in international group structures
• Knowledge in finance transformation and process optimization
• Experience in S/4HANA migration or transformation projects
