Job description

Seeking a Full-Stack Developer with extensive experience in Angular, Python, and AWS to contribute to the development and maintenance of a web application. The role involves both frontend and backend development, including API integration, data visualization, and CI/CD.

Project overview

Responsibilities

  • Further development and maintenance of an Angular 22 web application with Standalone Components and signal-based state management
  • Implementation of data-driven analysis views (time series, maps, tables, timetable images) based on a generic KPI framework with GraphQL connection
  • Further development of WebGL-based map visualization (Deck.gl) for infrastructure and train movement data
  • Development of editor interfaces for timetable, infrastructure, and model parameters, as well as other structured data objects
  • Development and maintenance of reusable UI components based on a company-wide design system
  • Connection and maintenance of REST and GraphQL interfaces, as well as Protobuf-based data communication
  • Reduction of technical debt and migration (e.g., Leaflet ? Deck.gl), increasing test coverage
  • Conception and execution of automated quality assurance measures (unit tests, E2E tests)
  • Development and maintenance of Python web APIs (FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy) and participation in serverless data pipelines (AWS Lambda, AWS Batch, S3, Glue) and database schema migrations

  • Experience in developing productive Python web APIs with FastAPI and Pydantic, as well as relational data management with SQLAlchemy including schema migrations (Proof: 2 references)
  • Experience in developing and implementing algorithms for railway freight transport planning (Proof: 1 reference)

  • Experience with complex, performant table representations of large datasets using AG Grid (Proof: 2 references)
  • Experience in developing complex, interactive editor and form interfaces for structured data objects (dynamic forms, validation, dirty/undo handling, conflict resolution during simultaneous editing) (Proof: 2 references)
  • Experience with performant display of large datasets using Plotly.js, especially time series and interactive charts (Proof: 2 references)
  • Proven depth in developing productive Python web services with FastAPI: authentication and role/permission-based authorization (OIDC/JWT, API keys), versioned schema migrations on a running relational database (Proof: 2 references)
  • Experience in implementing UI based on a design system with Figma, including working with design tokens/variables and integrating design and code (e.g., Figma Code Connect) (Proof: 1 reference)
  • Location: Remote and by arrangement in Frankfurt am Main
