Full-Stack Engineer, AWS, Python and Vue.js in Banking Environment

Project overview

A bank in Frankfurt is further expanding its applications on AWS, combining classic business applications with new AI-powered components. An experienced Full-Stack Engineer is sought to be responsible for backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure from a single source. The project is expected to run until the end of the third quarter of 2027.

Your Role

As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will design applications from the API to the user interface and ensure that the infrastructure in the cloud runs securely and reliably.

• Development of backend services including application architecture and API design
• Development of frontend components
• Provisioning and operation of infrastructure in AWS with Terraform
• Selection of suitable AWS services for business and technical requirements
• Implementation of security mechanisms for web applications
• Planning the integration of multiple components into a secure, fast, and reliable overall architecture
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development
• Solid knowledge of AWS and Terraform, proven by at least one project involving the provisioning and operation of cloud infrastructure
• Experience in selecting AWS services and a basic understanding of cloud networking
• Extensive experience in backend development, application architecture, and API design
• Initial experience in frontend development
• Basic knowledge of security mechanisms for web applications such as TLS, CORS, CSRF, and XSS
• English at C1 level, fluent in negotiations even in demanding situations
• Willingness to travel to Frankfurt am Main once a month
• 10 years or more of professional experience
• Experience with Python in backend development
• Experience with Vue.js
• Experience in designing secure, performant, and reliable system architectures
• Experience with AI and LLM technologies such as RAG, vector databases, and prompt injection

Primarily remote, on-site in Frankfurt am Main once a month
