Full-Stack PHP and JavaScript Developer

Project overview

Contribute to the development and progressive modernization of a border control platform used in airports, train stations, and ports.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Design, build, test, and maintain the platform's web applications.
• Work on both backend and frontend across the entire technical stack.
• Create and integrate REST API interfaces.
• Analyze and evolve legacy code in production.
• Strengthen security and progressively modernize the existing architecture.
• Refactor code to improve separation of concerns and maintainability.
• Participate in technical analyses and problem-solving.
• Ensure the quality, stability, and security of the produced code.
• Take part in code reviews and testing activities.
• Write documentation for developments carried out.
• Work in close collaboration with developers, analysts, and other project partners.
• Solid expertise in PHP
• Good command of modern JavaScript
• Mastery of at least one modern PHP framework, preferably Laravel or Symfony
• Mastery of at least one modern JavaScript framework, experience with Vue.js being an asset
• Ability to work autonomously on both backend and frontend
• Good knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, and Git
• Experience in taking over, maintaining, and evolving legacy code in production
• Experience in managing complex applications in a production environment
• Ability to identify and fix security vulnerabilities in existing code
• Aptitude for progressively evolving an architecture and better distributing code responsibilities
• Application of best practices in architecture, quality, security, testing, and error management
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems and propose suitable solutions
• Ease in quickly taking over an existing codebase
• Professional command of English, both spoken and written
• Experience with Symfony, React, Angular, or equivalent technologies considered an asset
• Experience in the public sector appreciated
