£500/day - Outside IR35 - 6-Month Contract - Active SC Clearance Required - Remote-First

The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join a major digital transformation programme focused on modernising critical public services through the delivery of secure, user-centred digital solutions.

This is an opportunity to join a programme at a pivotal stage of delivery, helping replace complex manual processes with modern digital services. You'll work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced Agile environment where innovation, continuous improvement and the adoption of AI-enabled tooling are actively encouraged.

• Design, build and maintain modern digital services across front-end and back-end components.
• Develop secure, scalable APIs and application services.
• Leverage AI tools and automation to improve engineering productivity and delivery outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product teams and stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure, deployment automation and platform improvements.
• Support the implementation of security controls and secure-by-design practices.
• Ensure solutions meet accessibility and quality standards.
• Work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders within an Agile environment.
• Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
• Development expertise in:
• TypeScript
• Java
• Ruby
• Experience designing, building and consuming APIs.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices.
• AWS cloud experience.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Interest in applying AI tools and approaches within software delivery.
• Experience delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes.
• Kubernetes.
• Terraform.
• Infrastructure as Code.
• CI/CD automation and deployment pipelines.
• Application security best practices, including OWASP Top 10 awareness and secure-by-design principles.
• Experience within regulated or public-sector environments.
