KS3/4 Geography Specialist - January 2027 - Oldham

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Geography Teacher, to start a two term position in January 2027. You will be responsible for teaching Geography, both to KS3 and KS4. This timetable would be suitable for an ECT looking for support with their Induction terms, or a more experienced colleague looking for a long term supply booking. Experience of teaching Key Stage 4 Geography is essential for this position.

The school is a mainstream Secondary School with a supportive cover team and teaching staff. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. Our school is easily accessible by road (M60, M62, A627), so this position is ideal for colleagues based in Greater Manchester, Lancashire or West Yorkshire. Our school recently underwent a thorough and extensive renovation programme and now boasts some of the best facilities in the local authority.

Behaviour on the whole is positive and any isolated issues are dealt with by a positive, pro-active "on call" team with a wealth of experience in pastoral matters. You would also have pastoral responsibilities with a Form Group.

The position is open to NQT's/ECT's and more experienced colleagues. You will be paid to scale from day one of this assignment and we are available to discuss this role with teaching professionals as soon as possible.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Humanities/Geography Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher

UK Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role

Previous experience working in a UK school

Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
