Seeking a GIS Software Developer with experience in QGIS, Python, and PostgreSQL/PostGIS for a full-time, remote role starting in January 2027. The contract is for one year, with the possibility of extension.

- Development of software applications according to the client's requirements
- Advising the client on the technical implementation of functional requirements
- (Remote) participation in project meetings and relevant meetings; especially events according to the SCRUM process
- Technical coordination with project managers, business unit employees, and other developers to ensure timely and successful implementation of requirements
- Writing clean, efficient, and documented code using appropriate software development practices and adhering to the client's standards
- Creating delivery packages for the relevant applications
Requirements
- Experience in developing plugins for QGIS with Python (PyQGIS/PyQt)
- Minimum 3 years
- Experience in PostgreSQL/PostGIS integration
- Experience in Qt6-related plugin customizations (Alternative: Experience in Headless QGIS development)
- Experience in software projects in the transport and logistics sector
- Experience with authentication and security measures in the QGIS environment
- Experience in projects with in-house development of QGIS specific plugins
- 3 references
- Experience in cartography / layer design
- Experience with OGC services such as WFS, WMS, OGC API Features etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Geoinformatics or Computer Science
- Experience in versioned development with Git
