Hardware Development USB LED Controller for PC Monitor Backlight, Small Series with CE

I am the founder of GamerVibes, a German brand for PC monitor backlights. For our product, I am looking for an experienced hardware developer to develop a compact USB controller for addressable LEDs. I will develop the firmware and PC software myself.

Job facts: Direct client project

• Microcontroller preferably RP2040 or RP2350. Cheaper alternatives with native USB and bootloader ex-factory are welcome as suggestions. Firmware update via USB without opening the housing
• Power and data via a USB-C socket, included cable USB-C to USB-A
• Output for 116 addressable LEDs (SK6812, 5 V), designed for 3 A continuous load
• Four buttons for on/off, color, mode, and brightness
• Load switch on the 5 V input, LED strip de-energized when off, device standby significantly below 0.5 W
• Voltage measurement on VBUS and CC lines via ADC, so the firmware can adjust brightness to the USB port
• No audible noise, even on a passive USB hub
• CE compliant according to EN 55015 and EN 61547 with at least 3 dB margin, RoHS
• Inrush current according to USB specification
• Schematic and PCB layout as KiCad project
• Gerber files, bill of materials, and assembly data for manufacturing at JLCPCB or PCBWay
• Five populated and tested prototypes
• Brief documentation of EMC measures
• Fixed price for development and prototypes
• Timeframe until prototypes
• References with products that have passed CE testing
• Approximate unit price of the populated PCB at 400 and 800 pieces
