Head of Data - Data Engineering - 6 months, hybrid/Manchester, to £900 p/d inside IR35

A Head of Data Engineering is required to manage a large data engineering team working on large, data transformation projects/programmes. You will have extensive head of data engineering, management experience, ideally gained within a large enterprise finance/financial services/retail/supply chain/logistics/manufacturing organisation, with a strong data/BI/data warehousing technical background, with good knowledge of ETL, ELT, data reporting, data analytics etc. Any knowledge of Teradata and/or SAS advantageous. You will have extensive experience of managing data managers and large teams of data engineers.

You will have excellent stakeholder, 3rd party supplier management with excellent communication skills. The role will involve leading the data engineering team, function, managing 6 data managers and an overall team of 46, liaising with the business, stakeholders, 3rd party suppliers, dealing with the man management of the team, dealing with the technical data strategy, roadmap, overseeing, managing the technical data function ensuring everything is in process, adhering to standards, policies etc working with the other departments (software, security etc) through the full lifecycle to delivery.

Must be able to work in a very fast paced, dynamic environment. The role will require 2 days a week on site.
