HQ Group Accounting & Control Professional

Project overview

Temporary reinforcement of the Group Finance team, with a focus on accounting/reporting and support for cost control and budgeting.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Managing the holding administration
• Preparing the monthly reporting of holding entities via Tagetik
• Reviewing the monthly reports of operational entities within Tagetik
• Guiding the onboarding of new entities in Tagetik
• Supporting the month-end and year-end closing, including reporting instructions to the business
• Guiding the consolidation and reporting process via Tagetik
• Providing information for the preparation of annual accounts for several Dutch entities
• Contributing to HQ budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses
• Acting as a financial sparring partner for board members regarding budget and costs
• Preparing management reports and conducting thorough analyses
• Performing ad hoc financial analyses for the Group Finance Team and the CFO
• Providing monthly insights to support group-level decision-making
• Extensive background in accounting and financial control, with additional experience in group and business control, preferably gained within medium-sized organizations
• Thorough knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS
• Professional qualification such as RA, ACCA, or equivalent is a plus
• Several years of experience in the role of HQ/Group Controller or a comparable position within an international context
• Demonstrable expertise with Exact Online and preferably Tagetik
• Experience with cash management, liquidity forecasts, and budgets
• Extensive experience with cost control, preferably gained at headquarters level within an international context
• Strong analytical skills, proactive and structured approach, hands-on and pragmatic
• Good oral and written communication in Dutch and English
