HSE Manager / EHS Manager – Offshore Grid Connection / Onshore Construction Sites

Project overview

For a large infrastructure and energy project related to an offshore grid connection, we are seeking an experienced HSE Manager / EHS Manager on the client side.

The position supports the overall project management in all strategic, organizational, and operational HSE topics and takes over the professional coordination of the HSE organization within the project.

Responsibilities

• Creation and further development of the project-specific HSE management plan
• Consultation and support of the overall project management in all HSE-relevant issues
• Professional leadership and coordination of HSE supervisors and other HSE stakeholders
• Coordination of HSE activities across multiple sub-projects
• Review and evaluation of HSE concepts and plans of suppliers and contractors
• Execution and control of HSE onboardings
• Ensuring uniform HSE standards in the overall project
• Interface between the project organization and the client's central HSE organization
• Follow-up and escalation of relevant HSE topics
• Support with reporting, audits, measures management, and project communication

Requirements

• Several years of experience as HSE Manager, EHS Manager, Lead HSE Manager, or comparable
• Experience in large energy, infrastructure, plant construction, or offshore/onshore projects
• Experience on the client side or in a senior HSE function is an advantage
• Demonstrable experience in the professional leadership of HSE supervisors or HSE teams
• Experience in the creation and implementation of HSE management plans
• Experience in managing and evaluating contractors and suppliers
• Very good knowledge of HSE/EHS management for complex large-scale projects
• Very good German and English skills
• Willingness to be present at least 3 days per week in Berlin or at the construction sites
