• Act as a key technical escalation point for IAM and Messaging-related issues.
• Provide BAU support, ticket management, and operational maintenance across identity and messaging services.
• Work closely with project teams to support the delivery of strategic technology initiatives.
• Contribute to large-scale identity and messaging transformation programmes.
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Support and maintain secure, resilient, enterprise-scale identity services.
• Strong experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory in large enterprise or multi-forest environments.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange (Exchange 2019 preferred).
• Solid understanding of:
• Active Directory
• Organisational Units (OU)
• Group Policy Objects (GPO)
• Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
• Experience managing Exchange patching schedules and Security Updates (SU).
• Knowledge of email security technologies, anti-virus, and spam filtering solutions.
• Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) provisioning.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause investigation skills.
• Experience with Cisco ESA or FortiMail.
• PowerShell Scripting or other automation/scripting experience.
• Previous experience working within secure or regulated environments.
• Exposure to aerospace, defence, or government projects.

Project details

£450 - £500 p/d (Inside IR35)

Newport, Portsmouth or Stevenage (4 days onsite per week)

Security Clearance: SC Clearance preferred (sponsorship/processing available for the right candidate)

Eligibility: Due to the nature of the project, applicants must be sole British nationals.

We are supporting a leading consultancy delivering critical technology services and are looking for an experienced IAM Engineer to join a high-profile programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and supporting Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Messaging services across a complex enterprise environment. You'll be responsible for a blend of BAU support, technical escalation, and project delivery, including involvement in large-scale, business-critical transformation initiatives.
