Job description
The Veiligheidsregio Utrecht (VRU) is seeking an Information Analyst to analyze existing information systems, assess data quality, and advise on data improvement and information management strategies for a system replacement project.
Project overview
In connection with the DBA Act (Deregulation Assessment of Employment Relationships), it is not possible to invoice as a self-employed person for this assignment. Matchd offers various types of employment contracts. We are happy to discuss this with you to determine which employment contract best suits your wishes and situation. Feel free to contact us for more information and an explanation of the possibilities.
Assignment
The Veiligheidsregio Utrecht (VRU) is preparing to replace its current VTH solution RX Mission. For a controlled transition to a new information system, insight is needed into the existing information, its quality, and the necessary measures for data improvement and information management.
The VRU is looking for an information analyst to investigate the current situation and provide well-founded advice on handling the information in RX Mission. The central questions are: what information is present, what information is needed for future tasks, what is a suitable migration strategy, what improvements are needed for the transition to information-driven work, and for the execution of the required record management activities?
The assignment covers 10 years of history of cases, objects, locations, activities, correspondence data, relationship and contact data, and the associated information in structured and unstructured form.
Activities
The information analyst:
Deliverables
The results will be delivered in editable format. Findings and advice must be traceable to the source data examined. Assumptions, uncertainties, and decision points will be explicitly recorded.
Collaboration and Responsibilities
The information analyst works under the direction of the project manager and coordinates content with the DIA team (data, information, and analysis), information management, functional management, involved process owners, subject matter specialists, and available technical data specialists. Where necessary, the current supplier will be involved in obtaining and interpreting source data.
The information analyst prepares choices in collaboration and based on the analysis results. Decisions on migration scope, destruction of information, and deployment of staff will be made by the responsible officials within the VRU. Information management will advise on the application of record management activities.
Scope
The assignment concerns analysis, advice, and preparation. The actual cleaning, destruction, archiving, and technical migration fall outside this assignment.
The analysis starts from the current information and is not dependent on a chosen new solution. Definitive field mapping and technical import specifications will be elaborated later once the target model is available.
Developing an organization-wide core registration for fire safety or establishing a new minimum dataset is not part of this assignment. Existing frameworks will be applied; missing frameworks and their consequences will be made transparent as decision points.
