Infrastructure Automation Engineer Remote

Responsibilities

• Taking over and validating technical infrastructure specifications
• Further development of the Infrastructure as Code environment
• Creation and maintenance of Linux images and system configurations
• Automation of VM provisioning using Terraform
• Integration of existing Vault and Credential Management processes
• Development of API integrations and automation scripts
• Network integration and execution of connectivity tests
• Execution of functional, performance, and security tests
• Creation of technical documentation and support for operational handover

Requirements

Framework parameters:

• Very good experience with Proxmox
• Sound knowledge of Terraform and Ansible
• Very good Linux knowledge with Ubuntu and/or RHEL
• Very good knowledge of Python and Bash
• Experience with REST APIs and API integrations
• Sound network knowledge in VLAN, Routing, Multi NIC, and MTU
• Experience with Git
• Knowledge in Security Hardening, RBAC, and Secrets Management
• Ideally experience with HashiCorp Vault Enterprise, Packer, and GitLab CI/CD
• Knowledge in PAM and Credential Management are advantageous
• ITIL basics are advantageous
• Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or Terraform Associate are desirable
• Location: Remote (95%) and Cologne (5%)
