Infrastructure & Cloud Security Lead

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Cloud Security Lead for an innovative technology company in the SaaS and AI sector. This role offers the opportunity to shape and secure a growing AWS cloud platform.

As Infrastructure & Cloud Security Lead, you will be responsible for the core infrastructure, developer deployment environments, CI/CD pipelines, and the observability stack. At the same time, you will be responsible for cloud security, access control, network management, and the administration of enterprise SaaS tools. An important aspect is also controlling cloud expenses with growing service volume.

Requirements

Knowledge of compliance requirements and experience with LLM evaluation tools are advantageous.

This freelance position is planned for 3 months (extendable) with a scope of approx. 20 hours per week. The role is 100% remote with a European team working in US time zones.

• Extensive senior SRE or Cloud Engineer experience with strong practical AWS knowledge
• Productive experience with Kubernetes, ideally on EKS
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
• AWS security fundamentals: IAM, Secrets Management, and secure network architecture
• Practical experience with API gateways
• Administration of enterprise SaaS tools and integrations
• FinOps and cloud cost management
• Availability for afternoon hours in CET to collaborate with US-based colleagues
