Senior Engineer with focus on Project Management

Project overview

We, emagine, are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer with a focus on Project Management (m/f/d) for our partner for a major railway project in the Stuttgart area. The project includes the redesign of a railway node with new stations, tunnels, and bridges, as well as a pilot project for the digitalization of the railway. You will be responsible for ensuring costs, deadlines, and quality in execution planning and construction, as well as supporting commissioning. The duration of employment is 18 months, with partial remote work possible in coordination with the department.

Responsibilities

• You ensure the fulfillment of performance regarding costs, deadlines, and quality in execution planning and construction.
• You develop analyses, counter-control measures, and action scenarios for project management in case of deviations and risks to objectives.
• You coordinate the interfaces between planning, execution, and documentation.
• You support the commissioning process of the major project.
• You obtain the necessary approvals (EBA, VV BAU).
• You manage the timely submission of commissioning-relevant documents.
• You assess contract and additional claims and develop solutions.
• You ensure routine reporting on performance and schedule development.

• Completed university or university of applied sciences degree in engineering, infrastructure management, or project management, or an equivalent qualification.
• Sound project management knowledge, ideally with certification.
• Experience in infrastructure construction and interface management.
• Knowledge of contract law (HOAI, VOB) and negotiation experience.
• Experience in the DB Group desired.
• Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong teamwork skills, high degree of independence, and a structured, analytical way of working.
