Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Advise and support on all matters of international export control
• Assess and implement relevant US regulations such as ITAR and EAR, as well as European and German regulations
• Classify and assess technical products, software, applications, and technologies with regard to export control law
• Assess technology transfers and cross-border data transmissions
• Support with customs, import, and export issues as well as approval requirements
• Analyze existing processes and develop practical solutions for export control compliance
• Advise internal departments on export control law requirements
• Sound practical experience in the field of export control
• Very good knowledge of the relevant legal and regulatory requirements
• Solid knowledge of US export control law, especially ITAR, ideally supplemented by EAR, as well as EU export control law
• Practice in the classification of software, technical products, and technologies
• Knowledge in technology transfer, customs, and international trade is an advantage
• Experience in the arms or defense industry desirable, but not mandatory
