Project overview

For an automotive supplier in NRW, we are looking for an experienced leader for the supply chain on short notice.

The company is in a phase of realignment.

Someone is needed who gets things done, provides direction, and reliably keeps operations running.

Responsibilities

• You ensure daily business in purchasing, planning, and supplier management.
• You reduce the order backlog and prioritize customer deliveries, especially in the US business.
• You lead your team closely and make clear operational decisions.
• You coordinate with production management on capacities and setup times.
• You negotiate with customers and suppliers on call-offs, deadlines, and conditions.

Requirements

Framework conditions

• You have many years of leadership experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain from the manufacturing industry, ideally from automotive, metal processing, or heavy industry.
• You work practically and operationally and are regularly present in production.
• You are proficient in SAP R/3 in the purchasing and logistics area and independently extract data from the system.
• You are familiar with production planning and internal logistics.
• You lead clearly and empathetically, even in uncertain times.
