INTERIM Manager Risk Management - Development & Revenue

Dear Sir or Madam,

For one of our clients, we are looking for support in the operational modernization and further development of company-wide risk management. The goal is to put existing structures, processes, policies, and documentation to the test, close gaps, and implement contemporary, practical standards.

The role is explicitly hands-on: in addition to analysis and conception, you will take over the operational revision of relevant documents and processes, independently implement improvement measures, and ensure their sustainable anchoring.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and evaluation of existing risk management structures, processes, policies, and documentation
• Further development of the Enterprise Risk Management system with a focus on financial and commercial risks
• Identification and closing of process and documentation gaps
• Establishment of previously missing risk management structures
• Revision and updating of risk management policies, process descriptions, and other documents
• Optimization of methods for risk identification, risk assessment, risk control, and risk monitoring
• Inclusion of risks from Finance, Accounting, and Controlling, as well as from Compliance, IT, and operational business processes
• Review and further development of risk inventories, risk reporting, and internal control systems (ICS)
• Optimization of interfaces and responsibilities between risk management, finance, and other specialist departments
• Independent implementation of concrete measures and sustainable anchoring of optimized processes

Requirements

• Several years of experience in corporate or enterprise risk management, ideally in larger medium-sized companies or corporations
• Demonstrable experience in the establishment and practical implementation of risk management systems and processes
• Sound knowledge in financial and company-wide risk management
• Experience in the revision and operational implementation of policies, processes, and documentation
• Knowledge of relevant standards and methods, especially ISO 31000 and COSO ERM, as well as regulatory and legal requirements
• Understanding of the interfaces to Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Compliance, IT, and ICS
• Experience with risk assessments, risk inventories, and management reporting
• Strong implementation skills, independence, and a pronounced hands-on mentality
• Structured, solution-oriented approach and confident communication with specialist departments and management
• Experience in the real estate industry or in comparable corporate structures is a plus
