Interim Production Team Leader (day shift)

The position

As an Interim Production Team Leader, you are responsible for the daily management and continuity of the production organization. You ensure that the schedule is met and that products are manufactured according to the agreed quality and production standards.

You are visible on the shop floor and form the link between the Production Manager, foremen, and production teams. You know what's going on, set clear priorities, and ensure that employees and resources are optimally deployed.

Furthermore, you constantly look for ways to improve. Continuous improvement is part of your daily way of working: you identify bottlenecks, initiate improvements, and work with colleagues on smarter processes, better quality, and a more efficient production organization. In the long term, this role will develop into part of a continuous improvement team focused on operational excellence.

You report to the Production Manager and work closely with engineers, manufacturing engineers, and planners to optimize production processes.

Who do you work with?

You work in a close-knit team in the production department. You will primarily interact with the production department team leader. You also collaborate extensively with colleagues from departments such as Quality and Engineering.

• Planning and coordinating production and logistics processes for smooth execution.
• Providing first-line support to production and optimizing workflows.
• Evaluating and improving production processes with a focus on efficiency and quality.
• Close collaboration with engineers and production experts to ensure manufacturability.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting operational excellence.
• Education: MBO+ or HBO in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Industrial Engineering and Management.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Technical knowledge: Insight into composites, production methods, and engineering processes.
• Process optimization: You recognize opportunities to improve efficiency and lead times.
• Problem-solving skills: You are proactive in identifying and implementing improvements.
• Communication: Strong communication skills for collaboration with engineers, production, and planning.
• Language skills: Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
• Project of approximately 4 – 6 months
• Hourly rate to be agreed upon
