Interim Senior Real Estate Project Manager

Project overview

Lead a complex sub-project within a large real estate initiative and strengthen the professional maturity of the project team.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Translate real estate vision and strategic starting points into concrete goals, scenarios, and plans.
• Identify interests, constraints, risks, and dependencies at an early stage.
• Advise on feasibility, approach, and phasing of complex real estate issues.
• Support decision-making and the preparation of the program of requirements and plan of approach.
• Organize collaboration with users, management, advisors, and external parties.
• Handle resistance, conflicting interests, and participation needs.
• Monitor and adjust scope, planning, budget, quality, and risks.
• Prepare clear advisory and decision-making documents.
• Coach and guide four project leaders in their development.
• Strengthen collaboration between project leaders, support staff, advisors, and management.
• Identify development needs and translate them into concrete improvement actions.
• Transfer knowledge and experience and stimulate ownership within the team.
• Promote a uniform working method for project approach, control, and reporting.
• Ensure knowledge and working methods are retained so improvements are maintained after completion.
• Working and thinking level at HBO/WO (University of Applied Sciences/University) level.
• Ample, demonstrable experience with complex real estate and construction projects, preferably as a senior project leader.
• Subject matter expertise in real estate development, renovation, refurbishment, sustainability, and housing.
• Experience in translating strategic starting points into advice, programs of requirements, and plans of approach.
• Experience with projects within organizations with many internal stakeholders and diverse interests.
• Preferably experience gained within a social or non-profit organization, or a comparable administratively complex context.
• Demonstrable experience in guiding decision-making processes, creating support, and handling resistance.
• Experience with coaching and further developing project leaders and other professionals.
• The ability to identify development needs at both individual and team levels and translate them into concrete results.
• Experience with monitoring scope, planning, finances, quality, risks, and interdependencies within projects.
• Experience with managing multidisciplinary teams, advisors, and external parties.
