Project overview

For an internationally active industrial company, we are looking for an experienced leader as Interim Senior Vice President IT.

The position assumes overall responsibility for an internationally structured IT organization and will consistently drive forward a realignment that has already been initiated. The focus is on the further development of the IT organization, the stabilization of business-critical transformation programs, and the further internationalization and efficiency improvement of IT.

The role is at the highest management level and works closely with corporate management.

We are looking for a personality who combines strategic vision with operational execution power.

You will take over an established IT organization in an important transformation phase. In addition to ensuring stability and operational capability, the goal is to consistently drive forward initiated changes, set priorities, and align the organization with the future requirements of an international company.

• Overall responsibility for a larger, internationally structured IT organization
• Further development and implementation of the IT strategy with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and business enablement
• Leadership and further development of the international IT management team
• Further development of the IT operating model as well as global organizational and governance structures
• Management and stabilization of a business-critical ERP transformation program
• Further development of international delivery and sourcing models
• Optimization of IT costs, structures, and processes
• Use of automation and AI to increase efficiency and performance
• Further development of IT architecture, platforms, standards, and governance
• Support for the digital development of the company
• Support for M&A and integration activities from an IT perspective
• Confident stakeholder management at executive level and cooperation with relevant employee representatives
• Several years of experience as CIO, SVP IT, Group IT Leader, or in a comparable management position
• Experience in an internationally structured industrial or technology company
• Demonstrable success in transforming larger IT organizations
• Experience in further developing global IT operating models and organizational structures
• Profound experience in managing complex ERP or SAP transformation programs
• Experience with international delivery, nearshore, and offshore models
• Very good understanding of IT architecture, cloud, platform strategies, and governance
• Experience with M&A, IT Due Diligence, and integration projects is an advantage
• Experience in leading international teams and larger organizational units
• Confidence in dealing with management boards, executive boards, and other demanding stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and execution-oriented leadership personality
• Very good German and English language skills
