For a demanding cloud-native project, we are looking for an experienced IT architect with a focus on Istio Service Mesh and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
- Development of a cloud-agnostic service mesh architecture based on Istio
- Creation and review of technical architecture concepts
- Definition of architecture standards, security specifications and best practices
- Assessment of risks and dependencies in cloud migrations
- Quality assurance of existing architectures and implementations
Requirements
- Istio Service Mesh (Enterprise projects, architecture & implementation)
- Kubernetes & Cloud-native architectures
- Multi-Cloud / Hybrid-Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, Private Cloud)
- Service Mesh Security (mTLS, Zero Trust)
- Traffic Management & Observability
- Architectural consulting, technical concept creation & quality assurance
- Cloud portability, vendor lock-in avoidance & migration strategies
Nice to have
- OpenShift, OpenStack or Sovereign Cloud environments
- Terraform, GitOps, CI/CD
- Experience in the public or regulated sector
