IT Architect (m/f/d) – Public Sector / VMware / IT Infrastructure – 100% Remote

For our client, we are looking for an experienced IT Architect (m/f/d) for architecture consulting and the design of complex IT infrastructures in the public sector. The focus is on highly available, virtualized data center environments with high demands on availability, security, and integrity.

The Framework

Responsibilities

Consulting and design of IT architectures for processes in the public sector

Planning of highly available IT infrastructures with high demands on availability and integrity

Architecture consulting for client/server and web-based applications in virtualized data center environments

Design of IT architectures for large infrastructures with more than 800 virtualized systems

Planning of IT architectures to support military command and support processes

Creation and documentation of IT architecture concepts using appropriate architecture tools

Development of solution designs and creation of solution and service descriptions in the public sector

Design of virtual operating system environments based on VMware vSphere (Windows and Linux)

Consideration of ITSM processes, especially change management, in architecture planning

Requirements

CPSA-F certification (Certified Professional for Software Architecture – Foundation Level) or comparable qualification, for at least 3 years

At least 3 years of experience in IT architecture consulting for processes in the public sector with high demands on availability and integrity

At least 3 years of experience in architecture consulting for client/server and web architectures in highly available, virtualized data center environments with more than 800 systems

At least 3 years of experience in planning IT architectures for military command and support processes

At least 3 years of experience in creating IT architecture concepts with architecture tools

At least 3 years of experience in solution design and in creating solution and service descriptions in the public sector

At least 3 years of experience in planning and designing virtualized Windows and Linux environments with VMware vSphere

At least 3 years of experience with ITSM processes, especially change management

Technical Environment

IT Architecture:

Client/server architectures, web architectures, architecture modeling, solution design

Virtualization & Operating Systems:

VMware vSphere, Windows, Linux

Infrastructure:

Highly available data centers, virtualized IT systems, complex IT infrastructures

IT Service Management:

ITSM, Change Management

Special Requirements

Due to the client's security requirements, the following conditions are mentioned:

German nationality

Willingness for security screening SÜ2

No employment from the list of states within the meaning of § 13 Paragraph 1 Number 17 SÜG2 (according to client's specification)
