Project overview

For our client, we are looking for an IT Architect (m/f/d)

Our client, a public institution, requires support with IT architecture consulting for procedures with high availability and integrity requirements. The work will be carried out in virtualized, highly available data center environments and includes architecture concepts, solution design, and planning of virtual operating systems based on VMware vSphere. The duration is from 02.11.2026 to 31.12.2027, and the activity is 100% remote.

Responsibilities

• IT architecture consulting for procedures in the public sector with high availability and integrity requirements
• Consulting on client/server and web-based IT architectures in virtual, highly available data center environments
• Planning of IT architectures for security-critical command and support processes
• Creation of IT architecture concepts using architecture tools
• Solution design and creation of solution and service descriptions in the public sector
• Planning and conceptualization of virtual operating systems based on VMware vSphere (Windows, Linux)

Requirements

Very good German language skills in speaking and writing are required.

• CPSA-F (Certified Professional for Software Architecture – Foundation Level) or comparable, at least 3 years
• IT architecture consulting for procedures in the public sector (availability/integrity), at least 3 years
• Client/server and web-based IT architectures in virtual, highly available data center environments with more than 800 virtualized systems, at least 3 years
• Planning of IT architectures for security-critical command and support processes, at least 3 years
• Use of architecture tools for creating IT architecture concepts, at least 3 years
• Solution design and solution and service descriptions in the public sector, at least 3 years
• VMware vSphere (Windows, Linux), at least 3 years
• ITSM processes, especially change management, at least 3 years
• Willingness for an extended security check
• German citizenship
