Seeking an IT Consultant with financial background and migration experience for an S/4HANA implementation project. The role involves analyzing current systems, defining future states, and supporting the technical and business aspects of system changes.
Project overview
For our client, we are looking for an IT Consultant in the financial environment with migration experience.
As part of the introduction of S/4HANA, extensive changes to financial systems and their surrounding systems are emerging. The program is part of this transformation and is dependent on other projects in the finance sector. The resulting changes will be analyzed, evaluated, and described, suitable solutions developed, and their implementation in the surrounding systems technically supported.

- Utilization: 310 PT total, of which 50 PT in 2026, 220 PT in 2027, and 40 PT in 2028

Responsibilities
- Analysis of the current situation as well as development and documentation of target, solution, and implementation scenarios
- Recording, structuring, and qualifying technical and business requirements
- Analysis of requirements and problem statements as well as development of strategic options for action
- Creation and evaluation of IT strategies, architecture, and solution concepts
- Consulting on the development of target business processes in Finance & Controlling, Procurement, and License Management
- Handling of business-related issues such as risk management, dependency management, and integration issues
- Technical support for migrations, transitions, and replacements of IT solutions and IT services
- Support for collaboration between IT implementation, business departments, and program management
- Analysis and evaluation of IT architectures and technical concepts
- Support with IT governance, risk assessments, and regulatory frameworks
- Structured preparation of content as well as moderation of coordination processes
- Technical support in the project phases of conception, development, testing, and implementation
- Support with cross-functional communication measures
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in business requirements management / requirements engineering in complex IT digitalization or transformation projects
- At least 3 references in business process management in complex IT digitalization or transformation projects at companies with more than 5,000 employees
- At least 3 references in the technical support of migrations, transitions, or replacements of IT solutions and IT services in complex IT digitalization or transformation projects
- At least 3 references in technical interface management in complex IT digitalization or transformation projects at companies with more than 5,000 employees
- At least 2 references in technical IT governance management in complex IT digitalization or transformation projects at companies with more than 5,000 employees
Nice to have
At least 2 references each from complex IT digitalization or transformation projects at companies with more than 5,000 employees in:
- Regulatory or compliance-related requirements
- Further development of IT service processes within complex IT service portfolios
- Planning or support of tests for IT solutions
- Planning or coordination of releases or cutover activities
- Moderation of business coordination processes
