Job description
As a Functional Safety Engineer for an automotive supplier, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating safety-relevant system components according to ISO 26262 and creating safety concepts.
Responsibilities
- Analysis and evaluation of safety-relevant, electrical/electronic system components and parts according to ISO 26262
- Analysis and specification of safety requirements
- Creation of safety analyses (FMEA, FTA, FMEDA and hazard and risk analyses)
- Creation of safety concepts at the functional and technical level
- Preparation and execution of assessments & reviews

- Completed university degree, ideally in Electrical Engineering/Electronics or Systems Engineering
- Min. 5 years of relevant professional experience (Automotive is MUST)
- Experience in the area of Requirements Engineering and Functional Safety
- In-depth expertise in functional development, embedded HW-SW development, and testing and validation in the automotive industry
- Knowledge of tools such as Polarion, JIRA, SOX
- Deep knowledge of relevant standards and norms, e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508
- Experience in implementing safety analyses such as FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA
- Analytical and conceptual thinking skills and independent working style
- Teamwork skills, especially the ability to motivate
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken
