For a company in the infrastructure sector, we are looking for an experienced IT Consultant (m/f/d) to advise on architecture services for an Agile Release Train according to SAFe®, which is responsible for central core processes with around 15 development teams. The focus is on the SAP landscape with three SAP ERP systems based on S/4HANA and SAP BTP. Following the technical S/4HANA migration, the goal is to transform applications to comply with Clean Core requirements and to utilize new SAP services and technologies.

Support is sought in conception, validation, and implementation, as well as as a coordinating and consulting point of contact in the area of IT architecture.

Project Context

The services are provided for an Agile Release Train, which is set up within a company-wide strategy according to SAFe® and is based on end-to-end business processes. The Release Train is responsible for central core processes with currently around 15 development teams. Due to the high number of teams and projects, the need for a central, coordinating point of contact and a sparring partner in the area of IT architecture is growing.

The main focus of the technology spectrum is the SAP landscape with three SAP ERP systems based on S/4HANA and SAP BTP. After the technical S/4HANA migration, the project faces the challenge of transforming the applications in line with Clean Core requirements and utilizing new SAP services and technologies. Consulting in conception, validation, and implementation is required for this.

Collaboration takes place within an agile process according to SAFe®. Documentation is in German. Access to Confluence, Microsoft SharePoint, and Jira, as well as corresponding user access, is required for service provision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a structured analysis of the current situation and develop and document target, solution, and implementation scenarios in the context of the IT landscape
• Analyze problems and requirements, and develop and document action options, including strategic assessment and recommendation
• Conduct architecture reviews to assess compliance with relevant standards, guidelines, and strategies, and document deviations and recommendations
• Advise on updating the Release Train's architecture principles
• Present new architecture patterns
• Advise on the development of the strategic SAP roadmap

• Sound architecture and technology knowledge in the SAP environment, especially SAP S/4HANA (including target architectures and transformation scenarios), SAP integration architecture, and setup and control of SAP system landscapes (at least 5 years of experience)
• Sound IT architecture knowledge in the areas of enterprise, application, and integration architecture, especially in complex system landscapes in a corporate environment including SAP-influenced architectures (at least 5 years of experience)
• Expert German language skills (C1)
• Knowledge in the conception and implementation of integration architectures in the SAP environment, especially using SAP BTP Integration Suite, API Management, and event-based integration approaches
• Knowledge in designing SAP architectures in the context of infrastructure, plant, and maintenance management (e.g., SAP PM/EAM) in large organizations
• Knowledge of implementing business processes in the area of asset management and maintenance in SAP systems based on S/4HANA
• Knowledge of agile organizational and working structures according to SAFe® in the context of SAP transformation or development projects
