IT Consultant - Network Infrastructure

Project overview

A large company is modernizing its network landscape into a platform-based ecosystem. A central network platform is intended to standardize and make the provision of connectivity services more efficient. Operating models and organizational structures are being further developed, taking DevOps and agile working methods into account. In addition, governance, steering, and multi-vendor models, as well as a KPI-based steering framework, are being created. For the passive infrastructure, existing sites are analyzed, recommendations for action are developed, and upgrade measures are coordinated.

• Analyze passive network infrastructure and structure requirements
• Develop target architectures, solution strategies, and roadmaps
• Evaluate technologies, risks, and measures for infrastructure upgrades
• Create decision-making bases and transfer knowledge to the project team
• MUST: 3 reference projects – analysis, design, and implementation of IT operating models for networks
• MUST: 3 reference projects – IT strategy and change processes in technology, processes, and organization
• MUST: 7 years – As-is analysis of passive network infrastructure and derivation of functional target states
• MUST: 7 years – Responsibility for strategic solution options in infrastructure/network domains
• MUST: 3 reference projects – Product portfolio development with technological and organizational aspects
• SHOULD: 7 years – Creation and updating of roadmaps for infrastructure transformations
• SHOULD: 7 years – Knowledge transfer through functional templates and working documents
• SHOULD: 1 reference project – Recommendations for action for upgrading existing infrastructure sites
• Full-time employment with 8h/day and 5 days/week
• Planned project period is 11/16/2026–12/31/2028
• You will perform your services mostly from a location of your choice in Germany (onshore)
• The wish is that ~10% of the services are performed on-site in Frankfurt am Main (onsite)
• The daily rate is not fixed in advance – please send us your desired daily rate.
• Naturally: The more attractive the daily rate, the higher the chances.
• Please also provide a travel expense allowance (per day) for on-site assignments in Frankfurt.
