Seeking an experienced freelancer to implement, document, and support B2B interfaces for connecting a data management system to customer and partner platforms. The role involves automated transfer and processing of order data via various transmission methods.
Project overview
For connecting our data management system to customer and partner platforms, we are looking for an experienced freelancer for the implementation, documentation, and ongoing support of B2B interfaces. The goal is the automated transfer and further processing of order data via various transmission paths.
Responsibilities
Interface Development: Conception and implementation of counter-interfaces for connecting external API endpoints (REST / Webhooks) as well as file-based data exchange.
Data Processing & Transformation: Reading, parsing, and further processing of incoming order data in XML and CSV formats using Java and Groovy Scripting.
Protocol & Server Connection: Configuration and securing of data transfers via sFTP (server-side storage/retrieval) and optional email attachments.
Database Connection: Storage and mapping of incoming order data (customer, delivery, and item data) in the internal database system.
Documentation & Testing: Comprehensive creation of technical documentation (API specification, mapping logic, change history) and execution of integration tests (test vs. live system).
Support & Maintenance: Occasional support/error analysis for interface adjustments or protocol deviations.
What You Bring:
In-depth experience in software development with Java and Groovy Scripting.
Demonstrable practical experience in connecting B2B interfaces (REST APIs, Webhooks, SOAP/XML).
Solid knowledge of sFTP transfers, file formats (XML, CSV), and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
Experience in creating clear technical interface documentation and change logs.
Independent, structured way of working and reliable support in ongoing operations.
Nice to Have (Advantage): Knowledge or prior experience with Quadient Inspire and/or Quadient Scaler.
Residence / Region: Preferably in the Saarland / Southwest Germany region (for short distances and easy coordination) or fully remote.
